Often, there are arguments you have with your friends that cannot be mediated through simple round table discussion. These intense, heartfelt discussions that rip down to our core levels of humanity and force us to engage in critical thinking seminars lead us to a place of immense pleasure at the end of them, often accomplishing nothing, yet accomplishing everything at the very same time. They tear friendships down, all the while building them back up to a place even higher than before to places not yet reached prior to having these discussions. Whether it be politics, morals, virtues, entertainment, or the threats monogamous relationships have on our self-preservation of character and personality, there are a billion topics that we connect on a deep level through vigorous discussion with those closest to us to bring us to a indestructible bond. From these hard hitting sessions of intense climaxes, the bond of friendship is truly formed. And this bond, you might say, is as strong as boron carbide.
